Scotia Employment Relationship Council (SERC)

The mission of the Scotia Employment Relationship Council (SERC) is to bring the employee experience to the review and development of Scotiabank’s policies and practices so that they reflect and promote inclusiveness and legislative compliance as a primary business objective.

Employee Resource Groups are employee participation forums that align to Scotiabank’s Diversity and Inclusion Global Strategic Plan to engage employees of Diverse Groups.

Scotia Aboriginal Network’s mission is to support the Bank's commitment to create an inclusive and accessible workplace for all employees. To provide a participation forum for employees who are passionate about aboriginal people’s employment issues (attraction and retention) within the Bank and the community.

Scotiabankers for Universal Access is made up of Scotiabank employees dealing with or facing accessibility barriers in their workplace. Employees share experiences, best practices and bring forward recommendations for continuous improvement.

Scotia Pride’s mission is to help foster an inclusive environment, where employees and customers of the LGBT community and their allies feel safe, valued and respected.

Scotiabank Young Professionals' vision is to increase Scotiabank’s ability to attract, retain, and engage the next generation of employees by providing a forum that encourages learning, socializing, career development and community involvement.

ScotiaWomen's Connection Network is a networking series targeted towards female employees (Manager to Director levels). Each quarterly event provides women with opportunities to network with peers as well as gain access to female role models / senior leaders.
