Our ABMS with the CIRRUS logo can be used by customers of other financial institutions to access their accounts while travelling in Canada.

Look for ATMs that belong to the member banks [PDF: 753KB] of the Global ATM Alliance and avoid paying surcharges or international access fees on your account from over 35,000 cash machines in over 40 countries, including Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom or USA.

1 The pre-selected deposit accounts will be your chequing account when you are not prompted to select an account. If you do not have a chequing account, then the pre-selected account will be your Savings account.

2 Scotiabank will waive the International ABM Access Fee and Global ATM Alliance members will waive any terminal convenience or usage fees for any withdrawal transactions performed at Global ATM Alliance machines with your ScotiaCard or Scotiabank VISA.

"Free Access" does not apply to Scotiabank ABMs in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama or Belize. For foreign currency withdrawals performed at ABMs outside Canada, VISA International on our behalf determines the foreign currency exchange rate on the date of conversion. Effective from April 5, 2004, the exchange rate includes an amount equal to 2.5% of the converted amount. All regular account fees continue to apply.
