Now you can cut down the paper clutter – and save a few trees, too – with Paperless Recordkeeping from Scotia OnLine® Financial Services. Simply choose Paperless Recordkeeping and put a stop to your statements and passbooks for most of your day-to-day bank accounts.

Features

When you choose Paperless Recordkeeping:

  • We will stop mailing you statements for your day-to-day bank accounts;
  • We will no longer update your passbook;
  • You can select which accounts you want to be Paperless, and which accounts you don’t want to be Paperless.

  • You will be able to see up to 18 months of transaction history on Scotia OnLine;
  • It's free to view electronic images of cheques cleared through your account within the last 90 days¹;
  • You won’t have to file or shred your monthly statements;

Remember:

  • You'll still be able to download or print your transactions from Scotia OnLine if you need a permanent record¹;
  • You can switch back at any time if Paperless is not for you.

Sign on to Scotia OnLine and select Profile & Preferences in the top menu bar. Select Accounts >> Change Recordkeeping Option.

¹ For personal banking accounts for which a Paperless Recordkeeping option has been selected, this feature is available at no additional charge. For all other accounts, a $1.50 fee will be charged for each cheque viewed and will be debited to the account at the time of request.
