Keeping your credit and debit cards safe this holiday season
Enjoy worry-free shopping during the holidays by following these simple tips:
- DO treat your cards like cash. Sign new cards as soon as you receive them and keep them in a safe place.
- DO keep your PIN number confidential and be aware of your surroundings when entering it.

- DO check for your cards periodically. If missing, report immediately.
- DO notify your bank when travelling outside of the country.
- DON'T let a cashier take your card away or swipe it where it can't be seen. Insert your credit card into the merchant's terminal or swipe it yourself.
- DON'T share your online account passwords with anyone.
- DON'T leave your transaction receipts in the ATM. Destroy your old receipts, airline tickets, itineraries or anything that displays your card numbers.
