OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Account credit/adjustment transactions and PIN-based transactions are not eligible for entry. The transaction must be a retail or cash advance using any Scotiabank MasterCard credit card or any of the specially-identified Back-to-School credit card cheques (fees, service charges and interest charges are not considered eligible transactions). A minimum purchase of $300 or a minimum credit card cheque of $1,000 are required.

Contest open to legal residents of Trinidad and Tobago 18 years or older, except employees of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited (Scotiabank) and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses), its advertising agency and/or those living in the same household of each. This contest runs from July 15 to September 30, 2007.

You will receive one (1) entry automatically for every purchase of $300 or more spent with your Scotiabank MasterCard credit card. Also, you will receive three (3) entries for every specially-identified Back-to-School credit card cheque written of $1,000 or more. Entries from an unauthorized card use or made with lost, stolen or fraudulent Scotiabank MasterCard credit cards are void. Your use of your Scotiabank MasterCard account to make a purchase constitutes your consent to participate in this contest and your consent for Scotiabank to obtain your name, address and other information for the purpose of administering this contest and for other uses as permitted by applicable law. Scotiabank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant whom Scotiabank believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest.

A minimum purchase of $300 using your Scotiabank MasterCard or $1,000 using a specially-identified Back-to-School credit card cheque are necessary to enter or win. Fractions of these amounts will neither qualify nor be carried forward and added to the value of the next transaction. Transactions must be processed by Scotiabank to qualify.

Two winners shall be selected in Trinidad and Tobago. The Prize is the total amount of purchases and/or specially-identified Back-to-School credit card cheques written by the cardholder from July 15 to September 30, 2007. Total amount, up to a maximum of $30,000 per winner, to be credited to the cardholder account on November 15, 2007.
Scotiabank shall not be responsible for changes to the Prize that occur outside its control. Prize subject to change at the sole discretion of Scotiabank and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions are available. Prize cannot be substituted for any cash value. Winners will be notified by telephone, and will be required to provide proof of their age and to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within five (5) days of notification to be confirmed as a winner. If the winners cannot be contacted by telephone within five (5) days at a number on Scotiabank’s records, Scotiabank has the option to draw another name. Winners' names will be published in the media. Winners must agree to the use of their name and photograph without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank. Winners will be responsible for any taxes, insurance and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize. All draws will be conducted by automated, random selection on October 20, 2007. This contest is approved by the National Lotteries Control Board. The draws will be conducted in the presence of KPMG, an independent company.
