Heroes of Hockey Day

Scotiabank’s The 5th Season is proud to present the second season of ‘Heroes of Hockey Day’, a reality series broadcasted during Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey on Sportsnet and online.

The Mission:

Scotiabank and our Teammates have scoured the country looking for teams who embody The 5th Season values and have done amazing work in their local community to compete in a once in lifetime challenge.

The Teams:

A boys team from Orillia and a girls team from Vancouver will compete in an epic series of challenges that test their ability to work together as a team to prove they have what it takes to be Heroes of Hockey Day!

The Mentors:

Scotiabank Teammates, P.K. Subban, Cassie Campbell-Pascall, Lanny McDonald, Darcy Tucker, and Ron MacLean are thrilled to be a part of this competition!

The Prize:

The winning team will get an all-expenses paid trip to go to Scotiabank's Hockey Day in Canada in Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

Scotiabank Community Hockey Sponsorship Program

The Community Hockey Sponsorship program has always been Scotiabank's way of showing our commitment to kids' hockey, a sport which unifies our nation, community by community. That's why each of our more than 900 branches financially supports a local hockey team, league or association in their community. We know that being part of a team gives children more than just a chance to play, but also a chance to become involved in their community. That's why we're encouraging our branch staff and sponsored teams to donate their time – the equivalent to one practice – towards making a positive impact in their community. By inspiring and participating in volunteer initiatives, we're committed to help communities get stronger together, like a team. Because that's what Canada is all about.

All season long, we will be visiting 24 communities coast to coast and celebrating The 5th Season in the heart of each of these towns. With interactive games and entertainment for the whole family, jersey giveaways for youth under 16 and the chance to meet NHL Alumni, you won’t want to miss it.
