John McNally is a Senior Advisor focused on Climate and Socio-Economic Policy on the Scotiabank Economics team. John provides thought leadership on climate and resilience challenges facing economic growth in Canada, as well as the opportunities that could accompany market trends and shifts driven by climate action. John joined Scotiabank in 2024. Prior to joining the bank, John worked with the Smart Prosperity Institute, a Canadian environment-economy think tank, and Environment and Climate Change Canada, as well as serving as an advisor to a range of climate, innovation and energy initiatives. John holds an MA in Sustainable Energy Policy from Carleton University and a BMgmt from Dalhousie University.
