Juan Manuel Herrera holds the role of Senior Economist at Scotiabank Economics and Global Wealth Management since November 2024, based in Mexico City. Juan Manuel oversees the English-language publications of Scotiabank’s Latin American economics teams and provides macroeconomic strategy to wealth management teams in the Americas. He is also responsible for forecasting and analysis of the Eurozone and UK economies.
Juan Manuel has previously worked as an FX Strategist and Economist for Scotiabank, having joined the bank in July 2017. He holds a Master’s of Science in financial economics from the University of Leuven in Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Toronto.
