The exchange in Image 1 is a scam.

As you can see, the scammer is trying to extract funds from the victim.

They’re also making professions of love (known as love bombing), adding drama to the situation and creating a sense of confusion for the victim, while continuing to ask for money.

The exchange in Image 2 is a scam.

The fraudster is making excuses about why they can’t meet in person or speak, but they still want to continue chatting.

The forced intimacy at the end (“I think this could turn into something special”) is also a red flag that this could be a scam.

Both of the exchanges are romance scams.

In both instances, the scammer refuses to talk on the phone, speak over video, or meet in person. They’re vague about who they are, while at the same time asking the victim for money or more of their time.

There’s also a heightened sense of urgency, drama, and intimacy.

These red flags should indicate that a romance scam is underway.
