Important Information about your ScotiaCard® debit card

On March 8, 2014 some of our customers were unable to use their ScotiaCards at ABMs and debit terminals. In some cases, customers need to replace their cards.

We sincerely apologize for this issue. We realize it was frustrating and we take this situation very seriously. We have fixed the cause of the problem and we are doing everything we can to make it up to our customers.

If you need a replacement card, please come into any Scotiabank branch to get a new card immediately or call 1-800-472-6842.

In addition, for all customers who have been impacted and needed to replace their card, we will waive your Monthly Account Fee for the month of March.

If you haven’t already, please call the contact centre at 1-800-472-6842 right away for further assistance or visit your nearest Scotiabank branch as soon as possible.

If your debit card was declined/blocked on Saturday, March 8th, please visit a branch to have your card replaced
