To qualify for the $100 bonus (the “Offer”), you must:

- Complete any two of the following activities in your Eligible Account within 60 days of Eligible Account opening:

General Terms: The $100 cash bonus will be deposited to the Eligible Account within six (6) months from account open date provided all Offer conditions outlined above have been met. The 7,500 bonus Scene+ points will be deposited to the Scene+ membership account linked to the Eligible Account. The Eligible Account must be open and in good standing until the time of payout of each bonus. The Eligible Account is not in "good standing" if: (i) it has a negative balance exceeding the authorized overdraft limit, or (ii) it has been in continuous overdraft for a period of three consecutive months. For joint accounts, only the primary account holder will receive the bonuses. The Offer is non-transferable and may not be duplicated. Limit of one (1) Offer per customer, regardless of the number of Eligible Accounts opened. If more than one (1) Eligible Account is opened, only the first Eligible Account opened will be eligible for the Offer. All rates, fees, features and benefits are subject to change. The Offer may be changed, cancelled or extended at any time without notice and cannot be combined with any other offers.
Offer Description and Conditions: The 7,500 Bonus Scene+ Points Offer (the “Offer”) applies only to new Scotiabank Scene+ Visa credit card accounts (“Account”) opened by February 28, 2025 and is subject to the below terms and conditions.
To be eligible for 2,500 bonus Scene+ points (the “2,500 Point Bonus”), you must open a new Account by February 28, 2025 and have at least $250 in eligible purchases posted to your new Account in the first 3 months of the Account open date. To be eligible for an additional 5,000 bonus Scene+ points (the “Additional 5,000 Point Bonus”), you must have at least $1,000 in eligible purchases posted to your new Account in your first 3 months of Account open date. Eligible purchases include purchases (less any refunds, returns or other similar credits) but do not include payments, cash advances (including balance transfers or cash-like transactions), interest, fees or other charges.
The applicable point bonus will be credited within 8 weeks after the qualifying amount in eligible purchases (i.e., $250 or $1,000) have been posted to the Account within the first 3 months of the Primary cardholder’s Account open date, provided the Account is open and in good standing. For Joint Accounts with a Primary Borrower and Co-borrower, the applicable point bonus will be credited to the Scene+ account linked to the Account of the borrower that completed the last transaction to meet the qualifying amount of eligible purchases (i.e., $250 or $1,000). If a supplementary cardholder completes the last qualifying transaction, the applicable point bonus will be credited to the Primary Borrower’s Scene+ account. Points can be transferred between Primary and Co-Borrower or Supplementary Cardholder’s Scene+ accounts by contacting Scene+. The Account is considered in good standing if it is not past due or over limit and the Cardholder(s) is not in breach of the Revolving Credit Agreement that applies to the Account. All other terms and conditions of the Program Terms continue to apply during the Offer period. Offer may be changed, cancelled or extended without notice at any time and cannot be combined with any other offers.
Eligibility and Exclusions: Individuals who are currently or were previously primary or secondary cardholders of a Scotiabank personal credit card in the past 2 years, including those that switch from an existing Scotiabank personal credit card, as well as employees of Scotiabank, are not eligible for the Offer. Subject to the above exclusions, Scotiabank small business credit cardholders are also eligible for the Offer.
Rates and Fees: There is currently no annual fee for the primary card and no fee for each additional card (including those issued to co-borrowers and supplementary cardholders). The current preferred annual interest rates for the Account are: 20.99% on purchases and 22.99% on cash advances (including balance transfers and cash-like transactions). All rates, fees, features and benefits are outlined in the Application Disclosure Statement and are subject to change.
Scene+ Bundle for Students General Terms
1. The Scotiabank Scene+ Bundle for Students Offer (the “Student Offer”), includes the MPSA Offer (for 1,250 Scene+ Points) and the Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer (for 5,000 Scene+ Points) (each, an “Offer”), all as described in further detail below.
2. The Student Offer is available between November 1, 2024 and February 28, 2025 (the “Offer Period”).
3. For the purposes of this Student Offer, an “Eligible Bundle Account” means any of the following accounts:
- Student Banking Advantage Plan with a Scene+ ScotiaCard®*(an “SBAP Account”);
- Scotiabank Scene+ Visa* Card, Scotia Momentum® No-Fee Visa* Card, Scotia Momentum® Visa* Card, Scotiabank American Express® Card and Scotiabank Value® Visa* Card (each an “Eligible Credit Card Account”), and
- Scotiabank MomentumPLUS Savings Account (an “MPSA”).
4. You must be a Canadian resident and Scene+ member to be eligible for the Student Offer.
5. The Student Offer is subject to the Scene+ program terms and conditions. See the Scene+ program for full details.
6. By applying for, or accepting any Offer, you understand that the application of any Offer to a joint eligible account may allow the other joint account holder to become aware that you have other products with Scotiabank.
7. Credit card accounts are subject to credit review and approval.
8. The Student Offer applies to personal accounts only. Not available to small business, corporate or commercial accounts.
9. Scotiabank may change, cancel or extend this Student Offer (or any of the Offers) at any time without notice.
1,250 Scene+ Points – MomentumPLUS Savings Account Offer (the “MPSA Offer”)
10. Receive 1,250 Scene+ points when you:
Open a new MPSA within the Offer Period; and within sixty (60) days of opening any new Eligible Bundle Account within the Offer Period, you become the holder of all three Eligible Bundle Accounts.
11. The 1,250 Scene+ points will be deposited to the Scene+ membership account linked to the primary MPSA holder’s Scene+ ScotiaCard within three (3) months from MPSA open date provided all MSPA Offer conditions outlined above have been met. The MPSA must be open and in good standing until the time of payout of the bonus. The MPSA is not in “good standing” if it has a negative balance. For joint MPSAs, the first joint account holder to complete all MPSA Offer terms and conditions will be awarded the bonus Scene+ points.
12. Limit of one (1) MPSA Offer per customer, regardless of the number of MPSAs opened. If more than one (1) MPSA is opened, only the first MPSA opened will be eligible for the MPSA Offer. All rates, fees, features and benefits are subject to change.
13. The MPSA Offer is only available for new Eligible Bundle Accounts opened in accordance with these terms and conditions. The following individuals are ineligible for the MPSA Offer:
i. individuals who are currently holders of a Scotia Momentum Savings Account or a MPSA;
ii. individuals who are currently holders of an Eligible Credit Card Account or who were previously holders of any Scotiabank credit card account within the last two (2) years, including those that transfer from an existing Scotiabank credit card account or re-open a closed Scotiabank credit card account,
iii. individuals who are currently holders of a Scotiabank Chequing Account or who were previously holders of a Scotiabank Chequing Account within the last two (2) years are not eligible for the Student Offer. “Scotiabank Chequing Account” means any of the following accounts: Ultimate Package, Preferred Package, Scotia One Account, Basic Plus Bank Account, Basic Banking Plan, Basic Bank Account, Momentum Chequing, Power Chequing, Scotia One Service, Scotia Value, Student Banking Advantage Plan.
5,000 Scene+ Points Bundle Bonus Offer (the “Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer”)
14. You will be eligible for the Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer if:
- You become the holder of all three Eligible Bundle Accounts within the Offer Period; and
- You complete any two of the following activities in your Student Banking Advantage Plan (“SBAP Account”) within 60 days of SBAP Account opening:
o Set up and clear at least 1 eligible automated and recurring direct deposit♢♢, which will recur monthly for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months, or

15. The 5,000 Scene+ points will be deposited to the Scene+ membership account linked to the customer within 3 statement cycles after all terms and conditions of this Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer are completed and the eligible pre-authorized transaction or direct deposit, as applicable, have cleared the SBAP Account and so long as all 3 Eligible Bundle Accounts are open and in good standing at the time of award. For joint accounts, the first joint account holder to complete all Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer terms and conditions will be awarded the bonus Scene+ points.
16. You are not eligible for the Scene+ Bundle Bonus Offer if, prior to the Offer Period, you were already a holder of any of the three Eligible Bundle Accounts
As of January 1, 2023, new and existing Student Banking Advantage Plan account holders who open a new Scotia iTRADE account for the first time qualify for both of the following benefits:
- Preferred $4.99 pricing on eligible commissionable trades (regularly $9.99). Note: it will take up to 10 business days from the date of opening a new Student Banking Advantage Plan or Scotia iTRADE account for the discounted $4.99 commission pricing to apply.
- Trade one get one free using the Scotia iTRADE Mobile App: Receive a rebate for the commissions incurred for every second eligible commissionable trade placed through the Scotia iTRADE Mobile App (up to a maximum of 20 in the first calendar year, and 10 in the second calendar year and thereafter while the Scotia iTRADE customer is a Student Banking Advantage Plan account holder). The rebate relating to options will be applied to base commissions only.
As of January 1, 2023, new and existing Student Banking Advantage Plan account holders who have an existing Scotia iTRADE account qualify for both of the following benefits:

Trade one get one free rebates: The rebate will be applied to the account holder’s non-registered Scotia iTRADE account, or in its absence, their registered Scotia iTRADE account, in CAD currency (converted from USD to CAD for trades executed in USD, using the applicable foreign exchange rate) within the first 10 business days of the month following the month that the trades were executed.
Eligibility & Exclusions:
- Eligible commissionable trades include stocks, ETFs and options placed across all Student Banking Advantage Plan account holder(s)’ Scotia iTRADE accounts within the calendar year since the later of January 1, 2023 or the time when a client opens a Scotia iTRADE account.
- Corporate and non-personal Scotia iTRADE accounts are not eligible.
- The student (the primary account holder of the Student Banking Advantage Plan account) can be either the primary or joint account holder of the Scotia iTRADE account.
- Only the primary account holder of a Student Banking Advantage Plan account will be entitled to receive the preferred $4.99 pricing or get their commissions reimbursed for every second eligible commissionable trade, as applicable, into their Scotia iTRADE account.
- Both the Student Banking Advantage Plan account and Scotia iTRADE accounts must be in good standing on the last day of every month.
- The Scotia iTRADE account must not be in a disallowed debit position and must not have any outstanding margin calls due.
- No cash redemption value.
- This offer can be combined with other Scotia iTRADE programs (excluding Preferred Package) and campaigns unless otherwise specified. Should free trade rebates be awarded for the other programs and campaigns, those free trades will be applied first until fully consumed before applying Student Banking Advantage Plan free trades rebate.
A Student Banking Advantage Plan holder can get a total value of $149.90 if they complete at least 20 eligible commissionable trades on the mobile app in a calendar year, which value is comprised of the $50 total value of the discounted commission on 10 trades and the $99.90 value of the 10 free trades.

You will be required to confirm your student status by providing proof of enrollment.
What happens when you’re no longer a student? When your student status expires based on Scotiabank’s records or you have failed to provide proof of enrollment confirming your full-time student status, the plan will be removed and the account will be converted to the Preferred Package as of December 1st following the date of your student status expiry.
