Please note that your total points shown include all of the Scene+ points that you have earned with your eligible Scotiabank payment cards and your Scene+ membership card.

No, your Scene+ points will not expire as long as your Scotiabank product that is eligible for the Scene+ program remains open.

If you close your Scotiabank product you will remain an active Scene+ member and points will only expire after 24 months of inactivity.

You can earn and redeem when you book your next trip with Scene+ Travel – our third-party service travel centre that is part of the new Scene+ program. Earn 3 points for every $1 you spend on your hotel and car rental (excluding taxes and fees) when booked through Scene+ Travel, Powered by Expedia, even when you pay with your points.

Redeem in increments of 100 points for $1 toward your flights, hotel or car rental when you book with Scene+ Travel, Powered by Expedia.

Yes, you can apply your Scene+ points to offset travel costs using the Apply Points to Travel option with the Scene+ Program - up to one year after purchase.

You can redeem your Scene+ points for gift cards at over 60 popular brands and Apple and Best Buy products through the new Scene+ website.

Scene+™ members must sign up or link their existing Rakuten.ca account on the Rakuten website. By linking your accounts, you agree to the Scene+™ Rakuten®^ Terms and Conditions in addition to the standard Rakuten.ca Terms and Conditions and Scene+™ program Terms and Conditions respectively. When you link your accounts, your payment option automatically defaults to Scene+™ Points.

You must enter the site via the unique Scene+™ Sign Up landing page Scene+ Rakuten Sign Up. If you have a Rakuten®^ Account already, you can sign in and then follow the prompts to securely log into your Scene+™ account. If you do not have a Rakuten®^ account, simply sign up for a new account and then follow the prompts to securely link your Scene+™ account. Once you’re authenticated as a Scene+™ Member enrolled in the Scene+™ Rakuten®^ Rewards program, your new Rakuten®^ account will be linked to your Scene+™ account, giving you access to a personalized Rakuten.ca Scene+ experience with exclusive Cash Back and offers!

If you would like to begin earning Scene+ points with your debit card, you will need to ensure that you have a Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card that is linked to one of four Scene+ eligible bank accounts:

To switch your bank account, visit your nearest branch or call us at 1.800.4SCOTIA.

If you already have an eligible account but you do not have a Scene+ ScotiaCard, you can change your card by visiting a branch or by following these steps:

1. Sign in to Scotia OnLine
2. From your Account page, select Manage My Accounts
3. Select Profile
4. Select Replace or change ScotiaCard

If you close your bank account associated with the Scene+ program, your Scene+ points will still be available with your Scene+ membership and included in your Scene+ membership account. However, after your bank account is closed and you remain an active Scene+ member, your Scene+ points will expire after 24 months of inactivity. When you use a Scene+ Scotiabank Product to purchase a product or service, or when you use your membership card at Cineplex locations, information about the service or transaction is shared with Scene LP.  As other rewards partners are added to the Scene+ program, information about your transactions at these companies will be shared with Scene LP as well.  Subject to your privacy choices, your information will be shared with Scotiabank and Cineplex.  Lastly, Scene LP may use service providers to process or host data, conduct analytics or marketing, or similar services; however, that data will be protected in accordance with the Scene+ Privacy Policy.

Your wishes will be respected.  For example, you can ask for your enrollment information or device ID not to be shared by contacting Scene LP.  However, please note that Scene LP may still share your personal information as is reasonably necessary to operate the program (e.g., disclose available redemption points, so that you can redeem points at rewards partners).

Scene LP collects information that is reasonably necessary to offer and operate the Program.  Subject to your privacy choices, this includes information about enrollment, your use of Scene+ Scotiabank and Cineplex products, your use of your Scene+ Membership card at other rewards partners, information about point redemptions, device and service provider, websites you visit, your location, and certain other information relating to account creation, promotions or surveys.

Scene LP will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected, and otherwise to meet statutory obligations and reasonable business requirements. After that time, your information is electronically purged.

No.  However, Scene LP may conduct analytics or create anonymous and aggregated data, which may be sold to third parties.
